ARTIST STATEMENT
I make photographs and write fiction and poetry in pursuit of the apex of the human spirit, capturing its folly, sanctity, and what it cannot see in itself. My photographs and writings work together as memories do, where words give meaning to experiences and the images tie them with beauty.
My peregrinations are a manifestation of the spirit looking for such an abode, and throughout my travels and adventures I find a home. It is a journey of an authentic wanderer in search of a sanctuary.
I’m drawn towards cathartic landscapes, to cities and towns filled with buried stories that must be brought to surface, and to ordinary moments that reveal to us something more.
I want my audience to follow my journey and find relief, an understanding of why such things move us, and realize that a sanctuary exists within themselves.
